You can delete your full TripLyt account yourself in the app. If you have uninstalled the app, or you only want specific data removed while keeping the account, you can still request that by email.
1. Choose What to Delete
Full account deletion
Your entire TripLyt account is closed and everything tied to it is permanently erased — you'd need to sign up again to use the app.
Partial data deletion
Your account stays active and you keep signing in normally, but we delete specific data on request, such as:
- One or more saved trips or itineraries
- Packing lists or preferences
- Location history saved to your profile
2. How to Request It
- Full account, in the app. Open TripLyt, go to Settings → Account (User Profile), and tap Delete account. This permanently erases your account and all data saved with it, immediately.
- Email the developer at [email protected] from the email address associated with your TripLyt account if you have uninstalled the app, or if you want specific data deleted (Option B) while keeping the account. This also works for a full account deletion request.
- Or use the in-app form for partial requests. Open TripLyt, go to Settings → Contact Developer, and specify the data you want removed while keeping your account.
In-app full deletion is immediate and free. Emailed or Contact Developer requests are also free, and you don't need an active subscription.
3. What to Include
To find your account and act on the right data, please include:
- The email address you signed up with (or used to sign in with Google).
- Whether you want the full account deleted, or only specific data — and if partial, exactly which trips, lists, or content.
4. What Gets Deleted
Full account deletion permanently removes:
- Your account profile, login credentials, and authentication records.
- All trips, itineraries, packing lists, preferences, and saved locations tied to your account.
- Trips you've shared with others and badges earned.
- Any support messages or contact history linked to your account.
Partial data deletion permanently removes only the specific items you named (for example, a single trip or your saved location history), while your account, login, and any data you didn't ask to remove stay untouched.
5. What May Be Retained
We do not store payment or credit card details ourselves — all purchases are processed by the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, so billing records live with the store, not us. Deleting your TripLyt account does not cancel a store subscription; manage that in Google Play or the App Store.
A small amount of information may be kept beyond account deletion, strictly limited to:
- Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics that can no longer be linked back to you, used only to understand overall app usage.
- Records we're legally required to keep (for example, to comply with tax, fraud-prevention, or accounting obligations), retained only as long as the law requires.
Nothing retained is used to identify you or re-create your account.
6. Timeline
In-app full account deletion is immediate. Emailed requests for full or partial deletion are processed within 30 days of verifying your identity, consistent with the timeframe described in our Privacy Policy. For emailed requests, you'll receive a confirmation once it's done.
